At Wild Roots Forest School, we believe in the power of nature to inspire curiosity, creativity, and resilience in children. We offer a unique educational experience that encourages hands-on learning and fosters a deep connection with the natural world. Rooted in the principles of Montessori and Reggio Emelia, we prioritize each child's individual learning style and interests, providing for self-direction and discovery.

Early explorers Toddlers
Early Explorers (Ages 3–5)
🌿 Learning Through Nature & Play
Our Early Explorers spend their days discovering the world through hands-on experiences, imaginative play, and outdoor adventures. Children build confidence, independence, and social skills while exploring forests, fields, insects, weather, plants, and the changing seasons.
A typical day may include:
Nature walks and scavenger hunts
Sensory play and exploration
Songs, stories, and circle time
Art inspired by the natural world
Early literacy and math woven into play
Social-emotional learning and friendship building
Free play and child-led discovery

Homeschool
Our Homeschool program is designed to complement and enhance your child's homeschool experience through hands-on exploration, outdoor learning, and meaningful social connections.
Students engage in nature studies, science investigations, creative projects, journaling, early literacy, math activities, and social-emotional learning—all woven into authentic experiences in the natural world. Rather than learning from a worksheet alone, children discover concepts through observation, inquiry, movement, and play.
At Wild Roots, we believe learning comes alive when children can touch it, explore it, question it, and experience it firsthand.
